Yoga for Golf Stretching – Fitness Friday

Mark Williamson shares powerful recovery stretches to make the most out of the time you spend on and off the course.

Yoga for Golf has enormous benefits for golfers.  Lengthen your muscles, relax your mind, and overall improving flexibility.

The Golf Yogi, Mark Williamson, takes you through the Sun Salutation A in this short Yoga for Golf video introduction, part of the Fitness Friday series.

Yoga for Golf

Maybe most important is to keep in mind a simple mantra, ‘Practice so you can practice tomorrow.”  That is, Relax and don’t push yourself with your Golf Yoga workout.  Go easy and slow; let your body sync into the poses or flows.

Golf Yoga had a huge impact on Mark while he was competing as a golf professional.  Yoga for Golf changed how Mark breathed, how he worked out and how he approached the game of golf.   He strongly recommends  Yoga for Senior Golfers.

It doesn’t mean you have to wear Yoga pants to golf or wonder if leggings are appropriate for golf.

You will feel better in your body and swing with ease with a little yoga for golf workouts.

What u can’t bend all the way to the floor? I’m not as flexible as you and I’m sure there’s quite a few people that are in my situation.
    Thx

I appreciate your videos but in my opinion you spend a bit too much time (almost 2 minutes) explaining the “why” of these stretches. I typically don’t listen to that and try to go right to the meat of your stuff.

I am a recovering total knee replacement golfer who suffers from EXTREMELY tight I.T. bands. Could the Golf Yogi suggest any useful stretches that I could do to help me?
