String and Weight

In today’s video you’ll learn how to become a silky smooth putter. The best part is one you can do it from the comfort of your own home.

All you need is a putter, a length of string and some sort of weight.

Watch the video and I’ll explain how to generate a smooth stroke and not that herky jerky one.

You’ll also learn how to stop decelerating thru the ball. This promotes a stroke and not a hit, which is vital when it comes to consistent solid contact.

Again, the best part is you don’t need a putting green. You don’t need a hole. You don’t need a ball.

All you need is a putter, a length of string and some sort of weight.

In the video with the string and weight to promote a silky smooth stroke, are you holding onto the string or attaching the string to the putter? Thanks for another way to help me get through another CT winter!!!

Where is the string being attached?

Length of the string should be as close to the floor as possible without hitting the floor. A shorter string will increase the stroke speed.

One end of the string is tied to the weight the other end of the string is just held in the hand against the bottom side of the grip.
