Control Your Putter Speed

Deceleration is a sure way to ruin your putt. It closes the putter face just enough to send even the shortest putts wide of the mark. The best way to avoid the decel and train to properly accelerate through your putts is the HackersRX training aid. Check it out right here: HackersRx.

This is my number 1 killer in putting I am always short especially on 10+footers. I thought it was because my putter head was too light so I will pay particular attention to speeding through my follow through, Thanks for the hint.

I always decide what my putt will be, uphill or down, green speed. They I give it 2 numbers. Always one more number higher on the follow thru. For instant a flat putt from 6 feet is a 1-2. Back one forward two. A long one from 60 feet is a 4-5. I’m always right there with the distance and never decelerate with that system.

That’s great, Mike. Sounds like a solid system- keep it up!
