Would you consider “steam engines” as a good alternative for the “bicycle” exercise?

      From Mark:

yes, steam engines are a good alternative if you can’t get on the ground and if you work on the rotation through the core and spine. Make sure you aren’t “faking it” by just rotating with your arms/elbows.

        So what are steam engines

Standing up, right knee to left elbow meeting at belly button height, left knee to right elbow, keep repeating. They are basically bicycles standing up.

What is Golfers RX opinion about swimming, relative to a constructive workout for the golf swing?

Swimming is one of the best workouts you can do for golf, especially freestyle focusing on hip rotation.

Dear Mr YOGI,These four exercises are fine ,though not that easy to perform for the 85 years old man I have become (But I still play to a handicap of 7).I strengthen my core by throwing heavy MEDICINE BALLS(4 kgs and 5 kgs ) and by pulling several rubber bands attached to the top of a door down to my knees .Are these sufficiently effective exercises ?
Please show more CORE strengthening drills. Is the speed at which you perform them a decisive factor or not?
