The Mud Ball is when you find Mud on Golf Ball. But what do you do? What can you expect?
Hey, Quite The Chap here for GolfersRX. How to play a mud ball…pick the ball up, wipe the mud off, put the ball down, hit the ball…or in todays’ video.
If you’re actually going to play the ball with mud on it, here are a few little tidbits to keep in mind while doing so. It’s actually a straightforward process.
If you have mud on the front of the ball, no big deal. It’s just not going to go as far. How far less…who knows?
If you have mud on the back of the ball where you’re making contact, it won’t go as far. How far less…who knows?
If you have mud on the right side of the ball, it will curve left. How far left…who knows?
If you have mud on the left side of the ball, it will curve right. How far to the right…who knows?
And that is essentially how you play a mud ball. It’s a little about how the ball will react and a lot about guessing. So nothing really changes on how I play. I’m constantly guessing how far the ball goes under normal circumstances, and I definitely have no idea how much it’s going to curve to the right on a good day.
Until next time, keep it simple.
