A Consistent Posture

How do we develop a consistent posture? It's easier than you think.

How do we develop a consistent posture? It’s easier than you think.

Brooks Koepka works on the basics when he practices. He nails down his grip, his posture, and his alignment. Notice there is no mention of mechanics? We like this.

In this video we demonstrate what the ideal posture is. How to get into the ideal posture. And how to double check that you’re actually in the ideal posture. This is not just great for working on at the range, you can also take this home and perform it over and over again until it’s engrained in you.

This is, without a doubt, one of the most important “tips” for most amateur golfers. Too many try to “make” the body/arms/hands/etc. do things to add power or control the path when all anyone really has to do is put the body into a position that “allows” the body to turn properly. The arms and legs will aid the swing as they should if they are in position to do so. “Allowing” the body to work properly is the key to consistency.

When viewing your video on the first drill your hands were a lot farther from our leg than when you used the wall drill. Just an observation.
