OFF-SEASON Series: Balance

Kick your off-season off by getting back to the basics with The Golf Yogi & Quite The Chap

What are you doing in your off-season? Are you waiting for next season to start or are you starting next season already.

In this video we go back to the basics and revisit some of our fundamental videos. Over the course of this off-season we’re going to lay the foundation of a sound golf swing. And we’re going to do that though fitness and mechanics.

In this first video we’re exploring our balance. How to stay on balance with drills. And how to stay on balance through fitness. This isn’t rocket science and we like it that way. We’re keeping it simple so we can build off of it.

My biggest challenge on the course is directional consistency. Sometimes I pull left (with draw), sometimes push right with slice, sometimes starts at target and over draws. So basically how to keep club face and swing path consistent.

It’s tough to change but it’s also tough to recognize what you need to work on. Great work!

My biggest weakness looking at all these videos thinking they would solve my problems. Messed me up more than ever. Fixed my issues with one change. I now take the club back very SLOWLY and then fire everything smoothly from the top. Went from a 14 to a 10 in 6 weeks(I play 3-4 times a week).

Is there a program that outlines what stretches and balance and strength
Drills one should do over the winter.? If so is such a program available for purchase?
