Wanna Break 90? Finish Your Swing

Make a complete and balanced finish for solid shots

Finish the Golf Swing.  Don’t worry about how to finish the golf swing or even the Golf Swing Finish.  You know what I mean, Finish the Golf Swing.

Hey, Quite The Chap here for GolfersRX. Wanna Break 90?  My greatest weakness (besides golf itself) is not finishing my swing…in today’s video.

Finish the Golf Swing

It all seems to be going great. Proper setup. Smooth backswing. A nice complete transition. Ripping through impact and then…just a complete whiff on my finish. It usually ends with a hard hook into the left weeds or a weak fade into the trout pond.

This has got to be one of the simpler tips, but it’s so important.

Finish your swing all the way through impact. Not the fake finish where you stop your swing here and then make the half-hearted attempt at dragging it out to the finish.
Speed through impact all the way to your finish.
Hold that finish.

Look at Adam Scott; his finish is really deliberate.

Again, this is not a complicated process, but it’s one we often
forget about.

I coach high school girls and sometimes they don’t understand what I am trying to teach. I’m going to show them what I am trying to say with the help of your videos, if that’s OK with you. A picture is worth a thousand words, you know.

Hi Colby,my problem is I hit my irons mostly fatttt loosing a lot of distance (some have said it’s because I’m not moving through the shot, but when I try I hit them thin) when P hit a half decent shot the ball goes high but lacks distance for the club I’m hitting and so I never know what club(iron) I need a a specific distance.I have been tending to manufacture shots using hybrids(but don’t always get distances right.

I have been playing golf for 65 years and have lost it this year. I was not so much concerned with the loss of distance as i was the ball striking and chunking. I love the videos and hints . After trying a combination i think i am on the road to recovery.

Thanks so much and keep it up.
