Hey, Quite The Chap here for GolfersRX. How’s your rhythm? Your Golf Swing Tempo?
Yeah, that kind of silky smooth rhythm the top players on the PGA Tour have.
If your missing fairways and greens, your rhythm might be to blame. You get a little quick off the start or quick on the downswing. A lot of times, this is due to a complete lack of awareness. A lack of Golf Swing Tempo. Awareness of where your clubhead is.
Oh, hey, there it is.
Here’s a good way to reclaim that awareness and get silky smooth again, and how to maintain rhythm in your golf swing
Golf Swing Tempo
On the range or even mid-round, when you’re feeling out of rhythm and sync, take your club- flip it over and make a few swings gripping the clubhead. Flip it over again- and make a couple more swings. These are your Golf swing rhythm sounds.
What you’re going to feel is the weight of the clubhead, which in turn should give you some awareness as to where it is and where it should be. This is how to slow down golf swing tempo.
Until next time keep it smooth!
