Here’s another gem from Mr. Short Game. A simple and effective putting drill that will lead to fewer putts and lower scores.  How To Keep A Square Putter Face.

One of the most important things when it comes to putting is striking your putts with a square putter face. Without a square face at impact the ball will not go in.

It doesn’t matter if your alignment is correct. If your putter face is shut or open at impact, then your going to miss the putt. This is especially frustrating on those close three or four-footers.

This How to Golf Video from Mr. Short Game offers a drill that addresses multiple things, including your eye alignment and acceleration through the ball.

Most important, you’ll visualize AND FEEL what it’s like when you correctly strike the putt square. Alternately you’ll get feedback when you incorrectly strike the putt off the toe or the heel.

All you need is a putter, a 7-iron, and a few balls…

Like it squarely making contact. Best difference made 4 birdies in a row.
