Wanna Break 90? Stop The Scoop

Stop chunking and thinning your chips!

A Sweeping Golf Swing will help you to stop Scooping in your Golf Swing.  Scooping is Bad!

Quite The Chap here for GolfersRX. Wanna Break 90?  I like ice cream, but I hate when I get the scoops…in today’s video.

Sweeping Golf Swing

“No, no, let the club do the work.” What does that mean? I’m the one making the club “work.” I came across this tip from Alex Elliot Golf to help me from scooping and thinning my pitches. It’s as easy as this:

— Take a tee
— And attach it to the bottom of your wedge with an elastic
— Take some practice swings and…
— Don’t stick the tee in the ground
— Also, don’t peg it in the back of the ball

Sweep the tee across the ground with a Sweeping Golf Swing.
This is going to allow you to sweep the ball off the turf with a shallow swing.

You’re not digging the ball out of the dirt. You’re merely sweeping the ball off the top of the grass. This will allow the club to do all the “work” when getting the ball airborne. It’s lofted; it gets the ball lofted.

Thanks for everything,I was starting to lose interest in ever playing again after a surgical procedure a number of years ago messed with my swing and then my head! I’m going back to basics and having fun again.I’ll never hit as well as I did in my fifties, but at least I’m having fun again😇👍🏻

Sometimes it’s hard for people to be funny on the internet without being snarky, or rude, or nasty, or totally exaggerating. I appreciate that humor is natural, effortless & sympathetic. When I stop having fun with this game I really start to hate it. Your tips & delivery both help my game, but also remind me that if I can’t laugh & have fun at this, I shouldn’t be doing it. I appreciate ya!
