Good Footwork is Key to a Solid Golf Swing

The Golf Yogi demonstrates three simple exercises that will get us lighter and quicker on our feet, creating more balance and power!

What’s up, GolfersRx, Mark Williamson, the Golf Yogi covers Footwork and demonstrates three simple exercises that will get us lighter and quicker on our feet.

Footwork

Good footwork is key to a solid golf swing. Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and Bubba Watson are great examples of players who have great footwork. The relationship between their feet and the ground is key to how they generate balance and power.

These footwork exercises will allow us to develop balance and stability throughout our golf swing. This newly developed balance and stability, created by good footwork drills, will also allow us to generate more power.

A powerful golf swing starts in the ground. We can drive that power up into our legs and through to a balanced finish through good footwork. Without the proper footwork, we can lose a lot of power and consistency in our swings.
