Keep IT Forward For Crispy Wedges

Mr. Short Game provides a simple swing thought that will have you hitting crispy wedges.

Crispy Wedges

Mr. Short Game provides a simple swing thought that will have you hitting crispy wedges.

We all want to hear that pure sound when the ball leaves the middle of the clubface. It sounds good. It feels good. The ball has a penetrating trajectory. And when it hits the green, it stops. Mr. Short Game can help us achieve all those sights, sounds, and feelings!

It’s called the Forward Forward Drill. It’s about moving your weight forward instead of swaying your weight backward on your backswing, which can cause a lot of issues like flipping, chunking, thinning. Yeah, not ideal.

Mr. Short – your style/way of teaching is very good – the skill level of how to communicate the techniques needed to execute the shots makes a big difference in learning—the how and why. Your demeanor and antidotes are simple the best! Stay as you are–it’s a gift.

Would this forward-forward also apply to medium and short irons #5 thru 9?

Great video. I applied this to my wedge game for the first time last weekend and was really happy with the results. However, I have the same question as Ralph above…would this apply to other irons or even hybrids instead of just wedges?? Thanks again!

Same question as Ralph; will this drill and move help with the 5-9 as well? Thanks.

Isn’t Forward, Forward another way of executing Stack and Tilt?

Does the forward – forward scenario work for all irons? How about fairway woods and driver?
